Plane Crash Claims Bakersfield Youth near Lone Pine
Larry Chenoweth 24 of Bakersfield died instantly when a collision with another Bakersfield flier caused a plane crash near Lone Pine. He belonged to a pioneer Kern County family. his father L. E. Chenoweth once co published the Bakersfield Morning Echo and served as city and county school official. Deceased was a nephew of Roland Curran of Shafter. San Francisco was the only California city over 250 000 population to show a drop in traffic deaths in 1941.
