Records Fall at Richland Grammar School Meet
Four class A and three class B marks were broken at the Richland grammar school track meet held Friday at the high school. Norman Sheperd wide jumped 16 feet 4 inches and David Hobbs shot 38 feet 6 inches to beat the 35 feet 11 3/4 inch record. Rosewell Daniels high jumped top by one inch. a relay team of Russell Stone, Rosewell Daniels, Junior Cornelius and Davis won in 1 minute 53.6 seconds. Class B saw Bill broad jump 15 feet 2 1/2 inches and Junior Pyle set a four foot 8 1/2 inch high jump record. Complete results list multiple events and times including 100-yard dash and relay.

Work Starts on New Garfield Park Location Well
Construction began this week on Caldwell No. 5 in the Shafter Oil field near the Van Ness No. 2 site.
