Golden Gloves Crown Six Weight Champs At Shafter High
Six weight divisions crowned champions at the Golden Gloves show held Monday night at Shafter High School under Block S sponsorship. Don Scott won the 130 pound title, Everett Eyrand runner-up. Bill Walton beat Willard Phy in 110 pounds. Jerry Montgomery topped John Kelly at 120 pounds. Alfred Griffin defeated Scotty Jones in 140 pounds. Bill Sharp beat Clayton Hutchings in 150 pounds. Jay Graves won over Bud Anderson in over 150 pounds. Judges were Todacenmaier Henderson Carpenter. Art Johnson announced. Holger Hansen timed.
