Spud Purchasing Rules for Eligibility and Fees
The county committee office must be contacted immediately if prior notification occurs or if potato acreage is measured and confirmation not received. Applicants must agree to terms for a Certificate of Eligibility and declare the estimated maximum hundredweight for price support. A service fee of one cent per hundredweight, at least $3,000, is charged with no refund if approved. Potatoes not qualified by a Certificate of Eligibility cannot be purchased by the department.
