Local Seed Gang Book ties teens to schools and courts
The police department outlines a Local Seed Gang Book to identify local gang members with input from officers, schools, and citizens. Greeson praises coordinated efforts among SPD, Richland-Lerdo School District, and Shafter Hach School to curb gang activity near schools, while Judge Gary Ingle is credited for firm but fair sentencing. He notes teen gang joining often stems from a search for structure amid family and peer pressures, calling it a broader cultural issue.
