Police describe VW'S as loosely organized with 20 to 30 members and hangers-on.

A 200 page brief appeals the murder conviction of Offord Rollins IV for killing 17 year old Maria Madera near Lost Hills on August 2 1991. The Fresno five appellate panel may not rule this year. Rollins 19 was a Wasco High student, faces 29 years to life, and is held at Camarillo Youth Detention Center awaiting potential release at age 25.
