Richland School Board tabled two items to keep options open
At Monday's meeting the Richland School District trustees postponed production reductions and summer pool operation changes for 1979. A large crowd voiced support for the music program while concerns were raised about upper grade, health, P E, psychology, staff cuts, and ADA tied eliminations. The board has until May 7 to decide.

Stabbing Incident In Shafter Leaves Two Hospitalized
Police say two men were stabbed Sunday evening around 5 p.m. in Shafter. Both victims were bleeding on Central Avenue in front of Bank of America and were taken to the hospital with injuries. their names were not released. Investigation continues.

Vintage planes on display at Minter Field open house
The Minter Field Air Museum at Shafter Airport will host an open house on Sunday March 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. Planes such as Vampire 1st B-26 B-25 Tiger Moth BT-15 L3 and PT-22 will be on display with some flights possible for a fee.
