Distinguished Young Woman of Shafter Event Set for March 21
Shafter announces the Distinguished Young Woman of Shafter competition on Friday March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fred Starrh Performing Arts Center at Shafter High School with tickets on sale. The village also plans a 55 year Shafter High Class of 1959 reunion, a Youth Football auction fundraiser on March 22, and a free parenting class for caregivers on April 12 at the Shafter Youth Center with lunch provided.

Counts Car Club Brings Dozens of Classic Cars to Free Shafter Event
The Counts Car Club, founded in 1952 by Lee Fike and Joe Stocker, hosts a growing annual barbecue in Shafter with about 156 display cars and 200 attendees. The event features live music, free hamburgers, shirts, and drawings worth over $2,000, drawing participants from Classic Dreams and other clubs.
