Vote Delayed on Kern County School Unification Plan

The Kern County school unification proposal faces a delay with no vote this fall. Marilyn Schroeter Selected for Shafter High Girls State

Marilyn Schroeter of Buttonwillow was chosen as Shafter High School’s candidate for the 1970 Girls State session to be held July 6 14 on the UC Davis campus. Gail Kelley is the alternate. The program, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, educates junior girls in practical Americanism and citizenship.

City Council Advances California Avenue Drainage Project
