Santa Fe seeks right to meet Greyhound fare changes
Santa Fe filed with the State Railroad Commission to approve tariffs with less than the 30 day notice for Greyhound fare reductions set to take effect April 1. The 1.5 cents per mile rate in competitive Santa Fe territory for under 300 miles stays unchanged, while Greyhound's new sliding scale begins at 1.8 cents per mile for 1 to 50 miles and lowers to 1.25 cents by 400 miles. North of Sausalito and east of Stockton the rates start at 1.8 cents for up to 50 miles, with 250 mile routes remaining higher than the current 1.5 cent baseline. Say you saw it in The Press.
