Faster play method speeds up intramural baseball
The passage describes a new pitching method where the batter may swing or let the ball pass. If hit, the ball remains in play. After a free ball the count is three balls and two strikes, with the game played in the ordinary way. This approach speeds games, sometimes finishing six innings in 30 minutes, and plans for intramural baseball at Richland School after the season ends.
