Shafter City Council designates about 547,855 in CDBG funds for two projects. A Westside Park at Los Angeles Avenue and Schnidt Street receives 447,855. Shafter Council Adopts Dairy Buffer Zone Plan
On February 18 the council held a second reading, adopted amendments and zone changes to take effect in 30 days. The city works with Wasco on a county buffer zone proposal smaller than earlier plans. Florez aims to push dairy protections and public hearings, with a May 2 meeting at Shafter City Hall to discuss air pollution effects.

Pep and Pageantry Arts Assn Competition at SHS
