English author Reid Banks visits Shafter Library
English author Lynne Reid Banks visited Shafter Branch Library on Thursday February twenty seven. Students and teachers met the author of The Cupberré and discussed her work as she promoted a new book. Banks shared memories of childhood and family, autographed manuscripts, and noted her gratitude for the award For Meriteness Contribution to Young People's Literature. She traveled next to Wasco and Los Angeles before returning to London, noting the curious landscape differences between England and California.
