Plan A proposes closing capacity gaps by adding three new high schools near Bakersfield and 72 more classrooms by 1974 75, with 226.5 additional certificated staff.

Services Set Friday for Selma Janzen
Funeral services for Selma Kroeker Janzen will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Shafter with Rev. Henry H. Dick officiating and Doris Unruh as organist. She died in Clinton, Oklahoma, after a life spent in Hillsboro Kansas Reedley and Shafter. Survivors include four sons Menno David Irvin and Vernon, two daughters Bertha Unruh and Charlene Buller, 17 grandchildren, and a former husband Peter Kroeker who died in 1964. Interment at Shafter Memorial Park. Pallbearers listed. Friends may call Mish Funeral Home.

Richland School District Plans Sale of Three Parcels

Richland Orchestra Returns Stranded Near Las Vegas
The Richland orchestra began its return trip but remains stranded west of Las Vegas near the California line. Vaudeville Varieties Show is set for Friday March 17 at 7 30 p m in the High School Auditorium with tickets at 1 00 on sale Saturday outside Stringham's Drug Store and at the Richland District Office. Several student groups practice under Mrs Kay Millwee for the event while money donations rise above 1000 with support from the School Employees Association Lions Club Mish Funeral Home and others. Donations can be made at local banks the District Office or the Chamber of Commerce.
