Fireworks Ban Enforced in Shafter Under Ordinance 71
Local residents are reminded that the City of Shafter prohibits selling giving away discharging or possessing fireworks. The ordinance bans all fireworks for sale or use with only sparklers allowed for use in certain occasions. Vicki Laverty, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ben Pane, was honored with Kern County robes and plans to attend Adair Field College and pursue teaching at the University of Oregon.
