Bloemhofs Host Visitation and Maple School Graduation
Maple residents welcomed Herman and Mrs Joling and Dave Bloemhof of Redlands as guests for the Maple School graduation ceremonies. Ted Bloemhof Jr. was in the graduating class. Afterward the Jolings returned home while the Bloemhofts planned a three week Alaska tour from Vancouver. An outdoor eighth grade celebration followed with swimming games and a late weiner roast at the Bloemhof home.

Arrest in tool theft linked to drive-in burglaries
Police report a 17 year old Shafter boy was arrested early Monday and charged with burglary after a witness provided a license plate for a vehicle used to steal power tools from the John Peterson residence. Burglars hit three drive-ins in the past week, taking cash and valuables.
