Richland School Board Approves Tentative Budget Plan
The Richland School District approved a tentative 1969 70 budget of 1 220 443 up from 1 202 341 with an 18 102 increase as inflation pressures mount Superintendent Dr I David Cooke said a tax rise looms while cuts and staff reductions kept rate stable The final figure depends on state funds and the March legislative session A 39 000 Title 1 funds cut will force revisions next year and bids will be opened June 19 for a music room and admin building totaling about 300 000 Board also set July 7 for organizational meeting with two resignations and two new hires noted.
