Local Youth to Return from Berkeley for Summer Pool Work
Mickey Perry son of Mr and Mrs Boots Perry is home from the University of California Berkeley and will work at the Richland Pool for the summer. Mrs Elmer Unruh 236 Manne was awarded the prize for the tastiest potato dish at the Potato and Cotton Banquet in Waco Saturday night.

Charles J. Burton among OU graduates in 62nd commencement
Charles J. Burton of Shafter earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Oklahoma during the sixty-second annual commencement. The ceremony included baccalaureate services in Norman and convocations for ROTC commissions and College of Law graduates. Visitors to the Crafton home included Mr and Mrs Bill Henley and their son from Santa Cruz, with Mrs Frances Rogers of Lubbock Texas later traveling to Pasadena.
