Shafter High creates veterans oral history project
Shafter High School honors English class compiled an oral history on veterans inspired by the Persian Gulf War. Twenty minute interviews with 48 veterans were recorded, transcribed, edited, and bound into a booklet titled Americas Finest A Word From Our Heroes. WWII makes up the first section followed by the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Copies are available at Shafter Library with a potential public run this fall.

Richland Junior High Graduation Honors 205 Graduates
Richland Junior High held graduation at the high school stadium for 205 students under the theme The Future Is Ours. The Richland Trojan Band and Junior High Choir performed, with MCs Kibbe McDonald and Evan Ott introducing speakers and songs.
