Truxton Beale Dies at 80 A Kern County Figure
Truxton Beale 80 longtime Kern County figure died Tuesday in Annapolis Maryland. He was the son of General Edward F. Beale founder of Fort Tejon and an early California Indian agent. He inherited the Tejon ranch where he resided until its sale years ago.

Aged Resident Dies in North Shafter
John Giesbrecht died at his son Ben’s home in North Shafter on Tuesday morning at age 80 after six months of illness mainly from old age. He lived in Shafter 13 years and funeral services will be held at Mennonite Brethren church with Rev. Wm. Bestwater officiating. Interment will be in Shafter Cemetery. Survivors include several relatives in Canada.
