California Water Program Urged To Expand To Meet Growth
State water official William Fairbank told Kern County Farm Bureau that federal funding for California water projects is unlikely to continue at past levels. He contrasted $75 million federal with $150 million local/private spending, urging a state-led, long term program to meet rapid Central Valley growth to 2020 and beyond.
