Harry Schultz killed in action on Luzon January 27, 1945, has been returned and will lie in state at Golden Gate Cemetery San Bruno California then be laid to rest after a brief service on Tuesday August 3 at 1 00 p m Schultz 21 years resident of Shafter Farmed locally born October 4 1914 in Oklahoma came to Shafter in 1920 and joined the U S infantry in 1941 He served in the Pacific with the 161st Infantry earning the Purple Heart and campaign ribbons Surviving siblings include two brothers Johnnie and Bill and four sisters Mrs Mabel Martins Van Nuys Rubena Schultz Chico Mrs Lena Kinnicutt Portland and Alvina Workentine Reedley
