Evangelists are set to speak at First Baptist Church in Shafter the evening of July 30 1965. Rev Dale Klint announced the 730 pm public meeting featuring evangelist Terry Martin noted for chalk drawings and campus tours.
The 1965 Kern County Crusade Committee thanks readers for space and coverage that helped raise 62,000 dollars, with Shafter collecting 2,787.45, up from 1,659.41 in 1964. Acknowledgments go to Mrs. A L Biloff, Chairman, and Ted See for leadership and to sponsors, coaches, and fans.
