Ten year old Santana Gonzales of Rio Bravo Greeley School earned a spot in the National Junior Olympics Bantam 1500 meters set for July in Houston. Coached by her father Rick and family friend Lonnie Edgman, she has a 4.0 GPA and honors list status while balancing softball and basketball.

Mary Epp and Elmer Anderson were married June 19 1996 in Shafter with witnesses Mildred Mettler and Rohfield. Officiant Dolly Hei of the Universal Life Church presided.
