KHSD budget plan reflects state funding uncertainties
KHSD trustees adopt a tentative 1983 84 budget with 37.3 million in non categorical expenditures. A 14 million impounded fund release, nearly half to California, allows 6.4 million for the general fund to ease budget stress. State aid predictions remain volatile as district officials caution final numbers may differ. KHSD hosted the 1983 State High School Track Meet producing records and funds for track supplies. Two KHSD athletes from Shafter High School placed in the state meet.
