Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for James Massey of Shafter who died from injuries after a head on motorcycle collision with a car northwest of Shafter. Last Rites for Rev Heinrichs Held in Wasco
The Rev Abraham John Heinrichs 60 died Sunday after a two year illness. Services were conducted at the German Baptist church of Wasco with German and English readings. He lived on a ranch near the Maple School since 1930 and was a longtime minister. He is survived by his wife Justina Heinrichs a daughter Luella Ausmann of Oakland and sons Jacob and others in the Shafter district.

Four Hurt In Crash Tuesday
Four people were injured in a two car collision east of Shafter. The driver of one car suffered a four inch head gash and possible rib fractures and was treated by Dr. Kay before being moved to Kern General Hospital. The Youngblood family from Taft sustained minor injuries and were treated and released. Debris and extensive damage occurred to both vehicles. Deputy Roy Dodenhoff said the crash likely happened from both drivers failing to see the other.
