Local schools join Kern County Oral Language Festival
Two local elementary schools and Richland Junior High will participate in the 33 annual Kern County Oral Language Festival on Friday January 31 from 8 30 a m to 5 p m at Standard School District Bakersfield. Students in grades 4 8 will represent 70 public and private schools and perform serious and humorous pieces solo and in pairs with groups of up to eight. Trophies awarded to first through third place winners. Local students listed include Buttonwillow Elementary and Richland Junior High participants.
