Clubs to Help in Donation To Blood Fund
Twelve members from each organization in Shafter are asked to donate blood tomorrow for the Community Blood Fund. The Houchin mobile unit will stop at Veterans Memorial Hall from 3 30 to 7 30 p m to collect. A loudspeaker car will tour the streets to remind citizens. Elmer Ziemke and Ben Laverty lead the assignment with three women making house calls. The Fire Department auxiliary will provide refreshments. Donors should eat a light lunch.

Chief Finkbeiner Names Aides for Fire Department
Fire Chief Albert Finkbeiner announced his aides for the coming year. They include Melvin Vaux as assistant chief, Wesley Gotsching and Russell St. Mars as captains, Pat Bradshaw as custodian, P. V.
