At a Shafter Woman's Club meeting guest speaker Mr. Fred Stemm state narcotics agent outlined four defense lines against drug peddlers: customs at entry, federal agents, local police, and state narcotics law. He showed drug samples and noted a $100 film reprint fund. The event drew about 50 attendees. Mrs. Eckmann organized the donation and Mrs. Hill hosted.
