Carbon Co breaks ground on West Coast carbon plant near Bakersfield
Ceremony 11 miles west of Bakersfield drew civic leaders including M A Minning of New York City and Ra M Parsons of Ralph M Parsons Co. The Kern County site along Stockdale Highway will employ 50 to 76 staff and produce 30 million pounds of four carbon products annually for tire and rubber manufacturing as plans grow from a $2 million install to a larger project.
