Business of the week marks 20 years in Shafter
CFB celebrates two decades with events this week in Shafter. Monday featured antique cars in the parking lot and displays of farm machinery from Nikkel Iron Works, boats, and new cars from Richland Chevrolet on Thursday and Friday. Mayor twenty years ago broke ground at the CFB building. Bob Bann was the bank’s first walk in customer. A bon was made of $0 and $2 bills. After the cutting the ribbon, it was donated to Shafter High School Band. The band will march in honor on Friday March 2 and a drawing will offer a color television and other prizes.
