The January water report cites above average precipitation and a snowpack ahead of normal. Bureau canals run earlier than usual to utilize water and minimize spills as Millerton Lake and Friant Dam aim to meet Class 1 and 2 water needs while CVP records a January power output of 640.5 million kWh. Water diversions reached 483,610 acre feet with storage rising to 423,700 acre feet.
