Bakersfield High School auditorium previews opera staging
Kern County Musical Association tours the nearly finished Bakersfield High School auditorium on February 15 to assess its suitability for La Boheme under San Francisco Opera at next fall's season. A second preview for patrons occurs February 22 with Mrs. Keith S. McKee leading the group. The contractor says completion is early summer but the venue already supports a full opera with chorus and a sixty piece orchestra. Four hundred seats are available for new patrons via Tracy's Music Store or Miss Martha Gloeckler in Shafter.
