The OPA announces no new special sugar stamps for scanning. A 10 pound stamp replaces the 5 pound stamp effective April 1, expiring March 31. Home canning requires no separate stamp. Officials caution that total annual sugar allowance rises to 35 pounds per person, with future 10 pound stamps issued quarterly to extend ration books and save costs.
The Christian Science Society of Wasco outlines weekly services and lesson themes from Romans and Matthew. First Baptist Church of Wasco lists Sunday Schools at Kern Homes and church, morning and evening worship, youth and adult study, and midweek choir practice for Easter cantata.
The Central California Conference biennial session met in Fresno on February 17 and 18 with eighteen delegates plus the old Mauk from Kern Academy. Pastors B A Reile led Sabbath School at 9 30 a m and preaching at 11 a m with midweek Bible study and prayer meetings and a Friday young people's meeting.
