Telephone refunds ordered for PT and General customers
The California Public Utilities Commission ordered approximately 111 million in refunds to telephone customers from PT&T and General after a long dispute over tax benefits. Residential customers will receive up to 35 dollars each initially, with a second refund possible next year, while business customers receive credits or checks.
