Hunting Javelina At Tuscan Preserve Draws Local Group
Four local men joined a Tuscan Arizona hunt at a nearby javelina preserve where only bow and arrows are allowed. The group included Billy Lachenmaier Bill Goertzen Vernon Isaac and Ruben Siemens with his wife and son. They pursued a small wild pig in a hilly cactus filled terrain with limited success as the quarry remained elusive. The scene also notes a nearby visit by Mrs Siemens and children to a film village and a separate Yuma trip where a Silver Spurs rodeo caused several injuries including a broken leg and a fatal horse. Birthday celebrations for C S Ratslaff and a large Maple 4 H Club Father-daughter Valentine box supper were also reported with family gatherings and meals.

Meters Say Winter Temperature Felt by Gas and Electric Use
Reading meters shows this winter's cold and long nights raise heat and light use. Two factors ease bills: Pacific Gas and Electric rates are lower than in 1936, and unit costs fall as consumption rises for gas and electricity.
