Richland School Hosts Dr Don Thomas On Effective Schools
Richland Primary School welcomed Dr Don Thomas former Salt Lake City superintendent and now education consultant Friday February 6 He spoke on the five correlates of effective schools principal as instructional leader high expectations instructional focus school climate and adequate measurement He urged a curriculum review district action plan and board policy support with expected student gains of at least seven percent across areas Desegregated data and school plans will follow as the district pursues stronger effectiveness.

Richland awards honor roll and heart themed assembly
Richland Intermediate School held awards for fourth through sixth grade last Friday. Certificates went to honor roll, perfect attendance, and citizenship recipients with five names from each grade drawn from the Catch of the Day pool. A fifth grade presentation featured Room 23 on the Wizard of Oz heart motif urging caring, with a sign up for joining the heart display and goodies.
