Dororthy W Dance Longtime Shafter Volunteer and Builder's Widow
Dorothy W Dance, 87, a shy yet loud senior and longtime Shafter resident, volunteered widely while raising two sons. She and husband John built homes libraries and churches in the area after moving from South Dakota in 1936. John died 14 years ago. she still recalls their shipyard work in World War II and his 20 year old valentine brooch.
