Shafter Depot Museum track work and events planned
On Saturday February 19 track will be laid for the Shafter Depot Museum to display railroad cars of the Historical Society. Volunteers are needed to place ties and track starting at 8 a.m. Weather permitting. A Tehachapi museum trip is set for Sunday February 20 at 1 p.m. from the depot, led by Stan Wilson. Plans for a spring membership meeting are being set by cochairs Mary Siemens and Virginia Bender. The third annual pie auction will follow a March 24 potluck at the Shafter Veteran's Memorial Hall. The Historical Society Board meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday each month. meetings are open to the public.
