Water District Formation Drives Signatures and Studies
Neuman and Teerink of the State Water Department discuss F.R.P. aqueduct sizing based on current and near future studies. Engineers will be followed by land classification and economic investigations with a comprehensive report due soon. In Wasco, 40 percent of signatures for district formation are secured, with ongoing drives by local and out of county landowners. A Sept. 18 meeting of the Semitropic committee will review petition progress and campaign plans. Four Kern County representatives will attend the Santa Barbara board meeting Sept. 14-15 to discuss the Feather River Project Association.
