Brenda Smith daughter of Mrs. Barba D. Smith was honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower at the John Turner home 625 Acacia avenue on Thursday evening August 17. The event featured a yellow and white color scheme and a cake with heart shaped layers. Guests included Brenda’s relatives and coworkers from the Shafter Cotton Research station. The couple’s wedding to Belton Banks is set for Friday August 25.
