Kern County Recorder Ray A. Vercammen announced new office hours effective August 14 1978 to increase efficiency and meet Proposition 13 costs. The Hall of Records remains open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily while service counters close at 2:00 p.m. daily. All public services, except recording of timely instruments like mechanic liens and judgments, will be limited to 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with three hours nightly workload processing time.
