Sacramento officials disclosed a letter from American Decal Co. noting alleged law violations and price manipulation by California liquor excise stamp contractors. J. B. Lawrence of the Chicago firm urged investigation into why the state pays 36 cents per thousand stamps while Florida pays 1.00 for a smaller lot. The Consolidated Lithograph Co. of Brooklyn supplied stamps at 36 cents per thousand. the Chicago firm bid 52 cents.

First Cotton Of Season Baled At Shafter Mill
