Fishing In Early Morn Best On Northern Central Cali Streams
Early mornings yield the best angling on high lakes and streams in Northern and Central California. Fishing slows after sun on water but improves late in the evening. Accessible areas are heavily fished, with clearer, lower elevation streams warmer and poorer for preses. Remote high elevation lakes are ideal for campers and fire permits are required for campfires on public land. Permits available from U S Forest Ranger stations and some sporting goods stores.
