New Method of Teaching For English Courses Introduced
Three million California students will learn native language in a revolutionary new English method starting fall 1968. State Curriculum Commission proposes statewide adoption after seven months study and says it will triple grammar instruction in grades one to eight. Estimated cost to the state is about 8.3 million dollars for 1967-68 fiscal year with unprecedented features of the plan.
