Room air conditioners and the EER tag guidance
The text explains that room air conditioners display a yellow EER tag. A higher EER means more cooling per watt, with examples showing an EER of 8.0 uses about 30 percent less electricity than an EER of 5.6. Consumers are advised to seek higher EER to reduce cooling costs and conserve energy.
