Anything Goes Assembly at SHS boosts National PE week

Shafter High marked National Physical Education and Sports Week with its third annual Anything Goes Assembly on the football field. Five students from each class and 10 faculty competed in obstacle courses, a human wheelbarrow, tug of war, and a mud slide, with Mark Kirschmann winning the obstacle course for the second year at 27.4 seconds and the seniors taking the tug of war. The event featured student competitors across class levels and faculty volunteers, ending with a seniors’ victory in tug of war and a playful note about rain-making statues.
