Prohibition Convention At Eldora Sets Talks And Delegates
Prohibitionists in Uardin county met at the Eldora courthouse on May 23 for a convention. After opening remarks and talks by state leaders, committees were formed on organization resolutions and delegate nomination for the Marshalltown state convention. The group adopted resolutions endorsing prohibition principles, expanding ballot access to women, and targeting liquor advertising. Delegates and alternates from various townships were elected, with plans to nominate a county ticket at a later date. An Iowa Central excursion notice followed.
