The Princess presented by Eldora Class of 1903
The Eldora high school class of 1903 staged Lord Tennyson's The Princess at the Wisner to a full house on Wednesday evening after a rain postponement. Principal Miss Albrook and Miss Kuehne led a praised cast including Nellie Toughton as Princess Ida and Grace Crockett as Lady Psyche, with strong support from university pupils Edith Martin and Jessica Norris. The program drew a large audience and earned widespread praise for its polished performance. In other news the Jackson township Republican primary will be held in Owasa on June 6, 1903 from 2 to 7 p.m., with W. S. Johnson as committeeman.

Eldora Dealer J H Hadley Elected State Undertakers Leader
J A Hadley of Eldora, furniture dealer and funeral director, was unanimously elected president of the Iowa State Undertakers Association at its Des Moines session. The meeting, among the most attended, suspended rules for his election and will convene next in Des Moines. Hadley, long active in the association, brings honor to Eldora. He returned home Thursday evening amid local notices of 30 cent potatoes offered by H W Fannon.
