Eldora Baseball Team Sweeps Colfax In Week of Wins
Eldora defeated Humboldt 8 to 1 on Saturday and Emmettaburg 7 to 3 on Sunday. Monday they beat Colfax 7 to 1 at home, prompting a new pitcher for Tuesday. Eldora again triumphed 2 to 0 in the Tuesday matchup, as Colfax’s strong fielding could not stop Eldora’s offense. Colfax had earlier practiced against the Industrial school, losing 5 to 2.

Evangelist Lyon's Estherville Revival Ends With 391 Converts
The Estherville revival led by Evangelist M. H. Lyon concluded Sunday night after four weeks with about 2000 in attendance for the farewell sermon. A free will offering of 122.88 was gathered, around 300 of which paid assistants. The four weeks yielded 391 converts joining local churches. Lyon left for Wheaton, Illinois, after a crowd gathered to see him off at Rock Island depot before his European trip. He spoke briefly on Christian service and gave a recital earlier in the week in Spencer. He will be the soloist at an Indiana encampment this summer. Mr. Stentz and the Harrises accompanied Lyon, with changes noted for next year.
